Iqaluit fire department extinguishes two overnight fires
The fires occurred around 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. in the Federal Road area
The Iqaluit fire department and RCMP responded to two fires last night in the Federal Road area.
According to a City of Iqaluit news release, the first fire occurred at around 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20, and was limited to miscellaneous materials, and the second fire occurred at around 5 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21, at a nearby unoccupied structure.
Due to the close proximity and the suspicious nature of the fires, both are being investigated by the RCMP and the Office of the Fire Marshall, in coordination with the property owner.
Residents are asked to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the RCMP.
The rcmp are too busy babysitting adults (who can’t control themselves and need to be put into time-out ) to investigate the firebug problem in Iqaluit.
The lowlife probably knows that too.
