After a brief shutdown due to a broken water pipe, Iqaluit’s fitness facility reopened Friday, with the aquatic centre set to reopen Saturday, a public service announcement released by the city on Friday said.

The leisure pool will be open for both public and family swims. The lap pool and sauna remained closed until Aug. 14, 2023, the PSA added.

The broken water pipe forced the city to close both facilities on Thursday afternoon.

There is a huge demand for services, real estate for commerce and residential.

The pressure is bulging but the action is stagnant. Stop waiting for the feds. Put pressure on HTO, housing authorities and others who are responsible for hindering our growth.
