Iqaluit gets ready for Alianait Arts Festival

Preparations are underway in the Canadian North tent in front of Nakasuk Elementary School for the 2024 Alianait Arts Festival. The festival, which officially runs from July 6 to 9, got an early start Friday with an exhibit from Nuuk, Greenland at the Nunatta Sunakkutaangit Museum and a comedy show at the Aqsarniit hotel. The Alianait festival includes a variety of events such as workshops, concerts, arts exhibits and pop-up shows. The events will be held in different places in Iqaluit including the tent, Franco-Centre, Elders Qammaq, Iqaluit airport, the Visitors Centre, Nunatta Sunakkutaangit Museum, RBC building, Black Heart Café, Northmart and Arctic Ventures.
