Iqaluit man charged with second-degree murder

An Iqaluit man has been charged with second-degree murder.
At around 4 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, the RCMP were called to an apartment in the 4100 block area of Iqaluit where they found a dead woman.
According to the RCMP, a man was arrested and later charged with second-degree murder, along with other offences related to breaching court orders.
The RCMP did not release the name of the accused, who will remain in custody until a court appearance on Oct. 8.
Both the RCMP’s major crimes unit and the forensic identification services are continuing their investigation.
