Iqaluit pool to close for a week, city says
Pool to close March 25, reopen April 3
Iqaluit’s pool will be closed for a week starting March 25, the city’s recreation department announced Tuesday.
The closure is due to “operational requirements” and the pool is expected to reopen the morning of April 3, the department indicated in a news release.
The pool closure does not affect the fitness centre, which will continue to operate at full capacity, according to the release.

When will the hot tub be fixed?
When will we get this in Arviat last time the swimming pool was open 1998 was probably last time come on gn or hamlet get on with it there was a request that was put in long time ago for a new swimming pool.
All Arviat needs to do is take out a $40million loan and you can have a pool too! The city of Iqaluit wouldn’t borrow money to fix our water situation but had no problem to buy a fancy pool. Maybe Arviat’s council will do the same thing?
