Updated: Iqaluit RCMP say that missing woman has been found

Police had asked public’s help locating Joannie Joamie

Iqaluit RCMP say that a woman reported missing has been found.

On Friday, police had asked for the public’s help to locate a woman reported missing a day earlier.

Joannie Joamie, 28, was last seen at the Iqaluit post office at approximately 10 a.m. on Friday, June 26, the police said in a news release issued this afternoon.

At 9 p.m. that evening, RCMP issued another news release that said that Joamie had been found and is safe at home with family.
