Iqaluit RCMP seek public’s help to locate missing person

RCMP are asking the public for help to locate a man reported missing Monday in Iqaluit.

The Uttaqivik Community Residential Centre reported that Samonie Shaa, 27, had not returned on June 19 at 10 p.m., according to a news release issued Thursday.

Shaa is described as five-foot-three and weighing 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black, fall jacket and grey jeans.

Police ask anyone with information to contact investigators at Iqaluit RCMP at 867-979–1111.
