Iqaluit RCMP seek suspect in break-in at Embrace Life Council
Laptops, furs, gift cards among items reported stolen
Iqaluit RCMP are seeking the public’s help to identify a suspect in a break-in at the Embrace Life Council.
The break-in at the non-profit organization’s office on Queen Elizabeth Way occurred Jan. 18 and was reported to police the next day, RCMP said in a news release Thursday.
Items that were reported stolen include three silver MacBook laptops, Northmart gift cards, Caribou Cab vouchers, a Meeting Owl 4+ video conference device, several fox furs and a sheepskin rug.
Investigators are asking the public to identify a suspect whose image was captured by surveillance camera.
The Embrace Life Council is an Iqaluit-based mental health and suicide prevention group that promotes mental wellness and social inclusion programs throughout the territory.
RCMP ask anyone with information on the break-in to contact Iqaluit RCMP at 867-975-0123.
