Updated Nov. 21 at 9:10 a.m.
Takialuk Sagiatook was located safe and is no longer considered missing, according to a news release from the Iqaluit RCMP.
Police in Iqaluit had been seeking assistance from the public to help find the Iqaluit man who had been reported as missing.
Takialuk Sagiatook, 40, had been last seen on the morning of Nov. 15 while walking on the Apex bridge towards the beach.
The Iqaluit RCMP had described Sagiatook as five feet, seven inches tall and weighing 140 pounds, with a medium build, short black hair and brown eyes. He also has a moustache, the RCMP news release had said.
Sagiatook had been last seen wearing a blue plaid jacket, pants and black boots, the release said.
The police and Sagiatook’s family were concerned for his safety, the release said.
Has not been seen since Nov 15. Why not start a ground search, foot patrols. What are you waiting for.
Searches happened for other people with in 24 hours. Why wait for this man?
The person has been found safe and you are only questioning why no search was initiated? It does not state they did, not didn’t. It’s not a good idea to make assumptions, just to try to start another rant. Be happy that he is safe, this is the greatest Christmas gift, isn’t it?
