Iqaluit students run for Terry Fox

Approximately 500 Iqaluit high school and middle school students join in the annual Terry Fox Run on Friday in honour of the Canadian cancer activist who died in 1981. Since his death, the Marathon of Hope that Fox started as a trek across the country has raised millions of dollars for cancer care and research. Iqaluit students ran from Aqsarniit Middle School to Inuksuk High School, making a four-kilometre loop around the city. The fastest runner reached the finish line in just above 15 minutes.
