The City of Iqaluit is hosting a parade this weekend to celebrate Team Nunavut’s returning Arctic Winter Games athletes.
The parade, set for Sunday, is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. at Iqaluit Square. It goes from there to the Four Corners, where it will turn right and head to the AWG Complex.
Afterward, in the AWG Complex lobby there will be a meet-and-greet with the athletes. Hot beverages and snacks will be served.
The city announced Thursday there could be traffic delays during this time along the parade route.
Nunavut sent 274 athletes and team members to this year’s Arctic Winter Games, which are being held from Jan. 29 to Feb. 4 in Wood Buffalo, Alta.
