Inuit games at the youth centre
Saturday, Sept. 24, 4 to 6 p.m., Makkuttukkuvik Youth Centre in the Arctic Winter Games arena. Canadian Geographic Kids will be in town to film a demonstration of Inuit games by Arctic Winter Games athletes, and instruction for youth aged 9 to 12. Spectators welcome!

Mining Week BBQ at Sylvia Grinnell
Sunday, Sept. 25, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sylvia Grinnell Park Pavillion. Pan for ‘gold,’ learn about park geology, eat hot dogs and win prizes for Nunavut Mining Week. Free shuttle buses will be available

Sport trials for Arctic Winter Games 2006
The deadline for registration and trials of non-ice sports is Friday, Sept. 30. This includes: soccer, Arctic sports, Dene games, wrestling, table tennis, badminton and basketball.
