Fred Eaglesmith live in Iqaluit
Tonight, doors at 8 p.m., show at 9 p.m. at the Elks Lodge, and Saturday, May 27, doors at 6:30 p.m. and show at 7:30 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion. Saltydog Music and Promotions presents Fred Eaglesmith and special guest Molly McClure live in Iqaluit. The show will be recorded live. Tickets are $20. Regular sign-in rules apply.
Film screening fundraiser
Saturday, May 27, 7 p.m. at the Francophone Centre. The Ajjiit Nunavut Media Association is showing “Silent Messengers, A Road Movie Without a Road,” a documentary about inuksuit produced by the National Film Board and Picture Plant. Admission is by donation, all money raised will go towards the Alianait Arts Festival.
Habitat for Humanity AGM
Thursday, June 1, 7 – 9 p.m., Parish Hall. Volunteers and interested members of the public are encouraged to attend the first annual general meeting for Habitat for Humanity Iqaluit. Show up if you are interested in a position on the board, volunteering on a committee or finding out more about HFHIQ activities.
Inuksuk daycare rummage sale
Saturday, June 10, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Inuksuk High School. The Inuksuk daycare will hold a rummage sale fundraiser. Tables are $15 or two for $25. To reserve a table, call Rukshana or Erica at 979-3007.
