Friday, May 19, Inuksuk High School. The Underwater Robotics Team is hosting a silent auction, a bake sale, raffle and live entertainment to raise money to go to the International ROV competition at the NASA Space Centre in Houston, Texas. For more info, call Inuksuk High at 979-5281.

Fourth annual plant swap
Saturday, May 20, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Nunavut Arctic College. Bring your plant cuttings to swap for different varieties for your home, office or classroom. A limited number of plants will also be sold. For more info call Barb at 975-4807 or Fran at 979-7336, of the Iqaluit Community Greenhouse Society.

Film screening fundraiser
Saturday, May 27, 7 p.m. at the Francophone Centre. The Ajjiit Nunavut Media Association is showing “Silent Messengers, A Road Movie Without a Road,” a documentary about inuksuit produced by the National Film Board and Picture Plant. Admission is by donation, all money raised will go towards the Alianait Arts Festival.
