Kimberly Smith sworn in to Iqaluit council
Iqaluit city clerk Tammy Ernst-Doiron swears in Coun. Kimberly Smith during Tuesday’s city council meeting. Smith is the latest Iqaluit resident to take a seat on council. Council appointed her to fill a vacancy created when Sheila Flaherty stepped down in April. Smith thanked her fellow councillors for appointing her, and within the hour, she was appointed chairperson of the planning and development committee and vice-chairperson of the recreation committee.
