NTI needs to start putting more energy into taking down the rapists and pedophiles within Nunavut. RCMP can only do so much but everyone knows who these are in the communities and nothing is being done. Some pedophiles have turned into respected elders and people seem to have forgotten about their pasts or are just too afraid to condemn the past actions of an elder. Yes priests have done a lot of damage but most are old beyond belief or dead yet the disgusting rate of sexual assaults in NUnavut and many involving minors is extremely worrisome and continues.

Lets not forget to blame the young, careless, inhuman attitudes most of the time, stoned, drunks, nor care at all, leaving ex with kids to another just pleasure seeking. these youngsters had worst habits as well, leaving hungry kids and ex, stoned to oblivion at times, merciless, this is the latter days norm….

End sexual violence against women and children in our communities.

RCMP, Justice, MLA’s, Mayor’s Councils, NTI, KIA, QIA, KIA, Private businesses, everyone needs to do their part to educate and protect our children and women from sexual predators.

Family members need to stop protecting sexual predators, they need to be exposed at all costs. If you are protecting a sexual predator from facing justice you in my eyes are just as guilty. Shame of you!

I mostly agree with you. The RCMP will protect the children as much as they can, but the education you are talking about is the responsibility of the parents. You cannot count on any Inuit Org, not should private businesses being hold responsible.
