Nunavut RCMP have arrested a man in connection with what they first termed a “suspicious” death in Kinngait last month.

Ottokie Pudluq, 39, has been charged with first-degree murder, according to an RCMP news release Tuesday.

On Nov. 28, Kinngait RCMP officers were called to a residence where a 33-year-old woman was found dead.

The RCMP’s major crime and forensic identification units launched an investigation, which led to the arrest.

Pudluq remains in custody and will appear in court again Feb. 7, the release indicated.
