Full list of candidates set for Kivalliq Inuit Association elections
5 hopefuls vying to be president; advance and mobile polls are scheduled

Kivalliq Inuit Association is looking to fill some of its high-ranking positions.
The association is holding an election Dec. 11 to choose a new president, vice-president and community directors for Rankin Inlet, Naujaat and Whale Cove.
KIA represents the interests and advocates for Inuit within the Kivalliq region and works to ensure Nunavut Agreement obligations are met.
To be eligible to vote, KIA beneficiaries must be Inuit, enrolled under the Nunavut Agreement, at least 16 years old on Dec. 11, and have regularly lived in the Kivalliq region.
Here are the candidates for each race, as provided by KIA:

Advance polls are set for Dec. 4 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Arviat, Baker Lake, Chesterfield Inlet, Coral Harbour, Naujaat, Rankin Inlet and Whale Cove. Mobile polls for those communities will be held Dec. 5 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Polls will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on election day at the resource centre in Arviat; at community halls in Baker Lake and Chesterfield Inlet; at hamlet chamber offices in Coral Harbour, Naujaat and Whale Cove; and at the Singiituq Complex in Rankin Inlet.
How do we do proxy voting if we are not here for either the advanced poll or election day?
Is it clear whether or not these candidates are violating any regulations by buying voters cigarettes, bringing food around, offering voters prizes and campaigning before the campaign period?
