Kuujjuaq warm spell expected to break
Children and adults gathered to beat the heat at the beach along the Koksoak River in Kuujjuaq on Tuesday. After three days of unusually warm temperatures topping 25 C, rain is expected to break the heat on Wednesday according to Environment and Climate Change Canada, which also issued an air quality alert due to smoke in the air from southern forest fires. Through Sunday, temperatures around Kuujjuaq are expected to stay around 15 C with a mix of cloud and rain. (Photo by Cedric Gallant)
