Marking 29 years since the Montreal massacre

“Today, on National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women, we remember the 14 women murdered in Montreal on this day in 1989, and the countless others who been victimized, hurt or killed by senseless violence,” said Nunavut Premier Joe Savikataaq in a statement today. “Let’s work together to teach our families and communities about consent, respect and boundaries, so we never have to tell our children about another incident like the one 29 years ago.” (PHOTO COURTESY OF THE GOVERNMENT OF NUNAVUT)
