Meeting: What urban Inuit need

Next week, Inuit will meet in Ottawa to discuss the needs of Inuit who live in urban communities.

Mary Simon will host the meeting which will, among other things, look at how Inuit are undercounted by Statistics Canada in cities and what measures could better promote the needs of urban Inuit.

Participants will look at the programs and services that are available, and unavailable, to urban Inuit and come up with recommended actions.

The two-day meeting starts on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel.
