Montreal drop-in centre honours lost members in its new facility
Members of Montreal’s The Open Door who’ve died are honoured with a “We Remember” wall. The photos honour those the drop-in centre held memorial services for in the past two years. The Open Door, which provides services to the city’s homeless and low-income population, and serves many Inuit clients, recently relocated its facilities. On Saturday, March 16, the centre held an open house to thank community members for their support with the move. (Photo courtesy of The Open Door)
Sad to see so many young faces in those pictures.
I know one victim, she was well known citizen of Kuujjuaq, she did many support as much as she could, even though she had medical problems, and, was sad to learn that, she died from heart attack at a very young age, she was not homeless, but though helped homeless people in so many ways.
R.I.P. Lizzie, we will always love you, and, miss your presence from Kuujjuaq.
