Murdered woman’s body flown south for autopsy

A Whale Cove man arrested in connection with Donna Kusugak’s suspicious death was scheduled to make his first court appearance in Iqaluit on March 13.

Allen Kabvitok has been charged with murder in connection with the March 9 death. Kusugak was found dead in her Rankin Inlet home.

RCMP would not say how the woman died or what her relationship was to the accused.

Her body was sent to Winnipeg for an autopsy this week.
