Name/place mix-up

In an article published in the Feb. 1 edition of the Nunatsiaq News the names of the participants in this year’s Ivakkak Cup race were mismatched with their home communities. Nunatsiaq News apologizes for any confusion or embarrassment that resulted from this editing error.

The list of participants should have read: Charlie Watt Jr., Junior May and George Edward Annanack from Kuujjuaq; Massiu Nassak from Kangirsuk; Harry Okpik and Willy Kulula from Quaqtaq; Taamusi Sivuaraapik and Bobby Novalinga from Puvirnituq; and Simeonie Elijassiapik, Charlie Inukpuk and Adamie Inukpuk from Inukjuak.
