New Circumpolar Artists Association

Drum dancers, throat singers, mask-dancers and other artists in the Arctic have a new on-line network.

The new web site wants to offer artists from the circumpolar region a chance to have a kind of “homepage” for their art and skills, according to Mads Lumholdt, a half-Danish, half-Greenlandic singer and actor.

The network is called AANA. In Greenlandic, the words mean “here it is, right here.”
