New fuel possibilities in NWT

IQALUIT — An international team of geoscientists is planning a major trek in the Mackenzie Delta later this year. They will be looking for methane, which, likenatural gas, has potential as a fuel source.

Scientists have already drilled successfully for methane off the coast of Japan, and their expertise will be used at the Mallik gas field in the Mackenzie Delta.
