  1. CSnowshoeing is not a common sport in Nunavik but that didn’t stop several athletes and coaches from training and competing at the Arctic Winter Games in Whitehorse. “We definitely need more training. But it’s good to try something new,” said 14-year-old Dwayne Patsauq.
  2. B — Meet the new commissioner, same as the old commissioner — Karllin Aariak was reappointed commissioner of languages for a five-year term. As the last commissioner before her previous appointment expired in 2025, she is her own successor.
  3. B — Before she crossed the floor late Tuesday to become a Liberal, Lori Idlout was elected twice as the NDP member for Nunavut, in 2021 and again in 2025.
