Answers

  1. C — Fewer than 10 banned guns had been turned in under the buyback program as of Feb. 20, according to the federal government’s buyback program website.
  2. C — The Neevee character, played by Maika Harper, is the mother of the main character Siaja. While production is underway on the second season for North of North, no broadcast date has been announced yet for the new episodes.
  3. ADavid Aglukark is the fifth player on Team Nunavut at the Montana’s Brier, the national men’s curling championship being held this week in St. John’s, N.L.
  4. B — The illness is syphilis, for which an outbreak was first declared back in 2014. With rapid testing available now, Agyemang expects more cases to be detected which will slow the spread of syphilis.
  5. C — In Pangnirtung, voters will go to the polls on March 30 to elect a new mayor to replace Lynn Mike, who resigned in December, midway through her term as mayor.
