Nunavik artists workshops

Organizers are looking for 36 Nunavik artists who are eager to learn more about carving, printing or sewing wall hangings.

From Nov. 2 to 16 in Umiujaq, participants can follow workshops on wall hangings, carving with Jackussie Ittukallak and Sammy Kudluk and engraving with Paul Machnik.

The workshops are free, thanks to financial support from Makivik Corporation, Canadian Heritage and the Kativik Regional Government.

Applications are available at Northern Village Municipal offices throughout Nunavik or Makivik’s offices in Kuujjuaq.
