The actual count must be much higher. Public health is only testing one person per household once that person tests positive. They are also clearing people without testing them again to see if they are negative.

I sure hope those 19 in the hospital will be ok, long Covid sounds pretty bad and it can take a long time to get over it.
    Stay safe everyone.

    It’s a virus.
    It’s objectives;
    Find suitable host cells
Invade and take over host cells.
Replicate and spread to find more host cells

Unfortunately the virus will sometimes kill the host organism.

We actually know how to prevent the spread of this virus, and most of the deaths caused by the virus. Vaccinations, social distancing, masks, hand hygiene, testing, isolation, contract tracing.

We need to ask why we continue to ignore the above measures and instead substitute ignorance, conspiracy, superstitions, cries of “freedom” and “my rights”, and place our trust in “God” and prayer warriors, and goodness know what other excuses.

It really should not be this difficult people!

And no it’s not about the government trying to control everyone with QR codes. If you want to see control look at how China handles Covid-19.

China welded doors shut to keep infected people inside their apartment. They are not an example to follow.

Exactly what I meant. Our harshest measures are mild in comparison to Chinese restrictions.
        .
China increasingly resembles Orwell’s society from 1984.

Old Trapper you nailed it on the head, couldn’t have said it any better, it’s like people are so sick of Covid they want to move on and by ignoring the science behind it they are selling to take their chances pretending it’s the common flu.
Afraid of a little needle and mask.
Also reread what Old Trapper wrote about being controlled as we are not being controlled, like what he said, if you really wanna see what being controlled is look at China. You guys sure take things out of context and spin it to your liking, sounds so antivaxx and antimask with their misinformation.

Vaccinations, observing public health orders and the opening of schools are the best ways to limit and control the spread of this virus.

Covid is here to stay. No point in trying to hide from it. These numbers just breed fear. We need to either choose fear or freedom. Hopefully Nunavut stop reporting numbers soon.

So if it’s here to stay then masks and boosters will be the new normal, there’s no more going back to how it was.
We don’t have the hospitals in Nunavut, we don’t have the same healthcare as the south, we have a housing crisis and overcrowded homes, even TB is rampant up here and now with Covid we have to just live with it now and have a new normal with masks, social distancing in public and boosters.
We can never go back to how it used to be, we have been very careful and yet we have 19 in the hospital being very sick and one death. Now if we try and be how it used to be imagine the numbers going way up with overcrowded homes and see how many will be hospitalized.
We have to get used to the new normal.

140 cases In Iqaluit and raising, and yet students are encouraged to go to school, Who cares if they get the virus and pass it onto someone who may not survive as long as attendants are good. Typical Government when it comes to us first nations, get rid of all the first nations as much as possible.

Either send everyone to work or send me home. I’m tired of dealing with people pretending to work from home while I slug it out at my desk.

Or give me a second salary for doing so many other people’s jobs.

The look on PJs face is about exactly how I perceive this new government: caribou in the headlights. They have terminated senior leadership that had somewhat of a clue how to manage (not that they were awesome) and have replaced everyone with NTI pundits or individuals with no hard skill qualifications to be there. You got what you asked for. This is a sample of what NTI self governance will look like.
