I don’t know why people are surprised by this. Schools are the only thing open so of course that is where the cases and the virus will be.

What I don’t understand is most GN offices are closed to the public and a lot of them are working from home but yet the schools are open at full capacity.
Doesn’t make any sense at all, most of the cases we see are students infected and bringing Covid into their household.
Numbers keep going up, what will it take to use some common sense instead of just quitting and pretending there is no Covid.

Responsible governments have put in place effective measures like proof of vaccination to enter a restaurant, go buy liquor, or enjoy a movie. Our useless leaders are too scared to do anything. Why does None Of It always stuck with the weakest governments. We have record numbers and the government is doing what? Nothing! Sick of Dr. Patterson government and the puppet wannabe ministers who are just useless!

And yet the schools are open at full capacity and spreading Covid, doesn’t make any sense when other places are closed.

Would be great to be rewarded with the freedom to go for dinner as vaccinated citizens and not be punished by folk who do not give a damn about us and refuse to get a little needle. Punish those instead and refuse them for services like restaurants, movies and bars so we can live again. That is what responsible governments have done. Here we just have a dud and absolutely no government in place to make this basic decision for us.

For nunavut to become stronger and powerful province, the population has to be 100,000 people or more. Since it’s at 30,000 plus. Nunavut is considered a territory. Since it’s seperation from NWT, our voice in the house of Commons weakened. This is what Inuit wanted. Now what? Even if the government were to help, Inuit will ignore isolation and visit people whenever they please.

So, the government is ok with opening schools and all, and people are visiting people. While trying to deplete the number of covid 19 cases all over nunavut. Self government sucks. It’s weak. The number of cases are much higher than said. They need to fix it. Everyone should worry even if their town cases are at zero. Let’s look at China. They are under a strict lockdown with the lowest case count. And here we are with schools opening and people going to work and visit when they please.

People are sick and tired of Covid, they want to move on and pretend Covid is just another flu and get back to how it used to be.
I can understand why a lot have started to act like Covid is not here or think it’s like the flu.
I think this is why schools here are open at full capacity and Covid spreading really fast. I just hope our healthcare can keep up and we don’t have another death.
We are at the highest level of Covid cases and it just seems like people are ok with it.
