Nunavut premier gets his COVID-19 booster
Premier P.J. Akeeagok rolls up his sleeve to receive a vaccination from public health nurse Amiel Hernandez at the legislative assembly Friday. Akeeagok and Health Minister John Main were among more than a dozen people who got their COVID-19 shots at the pop-up clinic. “It’s just an incredible way to protect the people in your life,” Main said, encouraging Nunavummiut to get their vaccines as winter approaches. After receiving the COVID vaccine, I ended up with a blood clot following the shot, booster, and another booster. Despite this, my medical history and lifestyle were generally healthy.
