Why would anyone celebrate their colonizers?
HAPPY CANADA DAY , FELLOW CANADIANS !!!!!!!!!!!!
Because Canada is a fundamentally good country that offers great opportunities to all its citizens.
Because they are awesome 👌
Let’s see:
1. Because Canada is, on a world scale, an absolutely incredible place.
2. Many have a more sophisticated and nuanced understanding of Canadian history and can acknowledge wrongs and still celebrate the great.
3. The ‘colonized’ in Canada are a miniscule part of the population, and the remaining majority should be allowed to celebrate as they wish if they so choose.
4. The holiday doesn’t celebrate ‘colonizers’, it celebrates the country that we all share.
Pua! prolly all growed up but still sorry not sorry
I can think of about 2,200,000,000 reasons per annum that Canada should be celebrated in Nunavut.
I think sovereignty is enough in return.
You should be celebrating it because everything is handed to you on a silver platter and if USSR had of been the country to colonize you, your people would probably have been wiped out.
Anyone knows who will be performing in Iqaluit for Qilqut concert advertized for 4 pm to 8 pm?
SAD, free hotdogs that’s why see you there
