Nunavut deputy commissioner named

IQALUIT — Patricia Angnakak is the new deputy commissioner of Nunavut.

Angnakak, a former employee of Kakivak Association, was named to the position Wednesday by Robert Nault, the federal minister of Indian and Northern Affairs.

Angnakak will serve under Nunavut Commissioner Peter Irniq, and will assume his duties if he can’t perform them or if his job becomes vacant.
