Public had been asked on June 17 to help find Rhoda Nashook

The Ottawa Police Service say that an Inuk woman who had been reported missing last week has been found “safe and sound.”

On June 17, the police had asked for the public’s health finding Rhoda Nashook, 47, who had last been seen in the area of the 1300 block of Carling Avenue.

Her family was concerned for her well-being, health and safety, police said at the time.

On the morning of Monday, June 22, OPS issued a news release to say that Nashook had been found.

“The Ottawa police wish to thank the public for their assistance in this matter.”
