Partial power outage planned for Sanikiluaq on July 7
Areas around Co-op store, gas station, and school will be affected by temporary outage
Parts of Sanikiluaq will temporarily be without power for a few hours this weekend, according to Qulliq Energy Corp.
The outage, planned for July 7, is scheduled to run from 8 a.m. until noon and affect the areas in and around the Co-op store, gas station and school, the utility announced in a news release Tuesday.
Qulliq said the outage is required so workers can safely install a primary power line at the hamlet office.
