Patient didn’t deserve to be kicked out

The person responsible for medical travel policy should be asked to resign. I’m so happy for the lady from Kugaaruk who spoke up on CBC in Yellowknife, when she was kicked out of the Kitikmeot Boarding Home.

The health and social services department is supposed to be there to help and support patients and just because the person is going for medical to Yellowknife — they don’t have a choice but to stay in that Kitikmeot Boarding Home, and that they don’t work for the government.

How would you like to be thrown on the street, these people that did go through this probably have stress, going from bar to bar, nowhere to go, probably feel disoriented, and who’s to blame?
