Personality profile ordered in murder case
The court has ordered the 17-year-old suspect in the beating death of Davidee Nowdlak to undergo a pre-disposition report, or personality profile.
A pre-disposition report is the equivalent of a pre-sentence report used in adult court and contains information about a person’s home life, interests and, if applicable, past criminal record.
Judges turn to PDRs when considering sentencing.
The teen, who cannot be named under the Young Offenders Act, has been in custody since his arrest on Aug. 9.
Nowdlak died on Aug. 6, three weeks after suffering a severe beating in Iqaluit’s 300-block.
