Photo: Alianait kicks off 2011 festival with June 22 concert

Greenlandic musician Nive Nielsen and the Deer Children, her six-piece band, headlined a special “School’s Out” concert June 22 at Iqaluit’s Nakasuk school. The Inuk indie band was one of a number of musical visitors who performed at the school in a lead-up up to this year’s Alianait arts festival, which runs from June 30 to July 3.
