Photo: CamBay now officially clean

By SPECIAL TO NUNATSIAQ NEWS

Cambridge Bay looks much cleaner thanks to efforts of so many people, including the young volunteers shown here. July 19 marked the last phase of the community's clean-up plans. More than 20 people gathered first for lunch at the Luke Novoligak community hall, sponsored by the Government of Nunavut's justice department and the hamlet's Wellness Centre. Then, the volunteers headed down to the shoreline to pick up more garbage. More than 100 bags of garbage were collected. (PHOTO COURTESY OF THE CAMBRIDGE BAY WELLNESS CENTRE)
