Sheepa Ishulutaq of Iqaluit receives an “Innaq Inuksiutiliriji” certificate from Premier Eva Aariak at an event held Feb. 2 in conjunction with a meeting this week involving the Coalition of Nunavut DEAs, school principals and Nunavut government officials. Ishulutaq and four other Iqaluit elders who also received the certificate are now certified as full participants in the Nunavut education system, able to provide instruction on Inuit culture within school programs.
