Photo: Montreal Inuit come to Villeray

Montreal Inuit turn out at a multi-cultural community festival held Sept. 18 in Montreal’s Villeray district. Held in Parc Villeray at the corner of Christophe Colombe and Jarry St., the event marked a final get-together for members of a citizens group that supported the relocation of the Nunavik House patient hostel to Villerary. Although the group collected more than 650 names on a petition supporting the move, Nunavik’s regional board of health and social services ended up dropping the project due to a lack of support from the municipality.
