Maggie Emudluk, chairperson of the Kativik Regional Government, and a group from the Fédération des co-opératives du Nouveau-Québec, Nunavik Parks, and the Puvirnituq Snow Festival, who are working on increasing tourism to Nunavik visited Quebec’s recent winter carnival where they met with its mascot “Bonhomme Carnival.” The visit marks the beginning of close cooperation between Nunavik and the annual winter celebration in Quebec City.
