Puvirnituq's Snow Festival, which takes place next month, has a new attraction to promote: a mural in the community hall, featuring images of a woman carrying her baby in an amautik, sled dogs, and an inuksuk. Jonathan Cruz and Gene Pendon of the Nuschool Design Agency in Iqaluit, who designed and painted the mural, plan to return for the festival March 21 to 26 to complete a series of portraits of elders.
