Photo: Snow geese photo wins NTI award

Bernard Maktar of Pond Inlet has won Nunavut Tunngavik Inc.’s 2010 “Photo of the Year” contest for this photograph called “Snowgeese,” NTI president Cathy Towtongie announced Dec. 17. Maktar, who wins $1,000 and an enlarged copy of his photograph, will see his photograph on the cover of the 2011 NTI annual report and as the background image in NTI’s advertising. “NTI had so many incredible photographs to choose from this year.
