Inuit environmental activist Sheila Watt-Cloutier speaks to delegates Feb. 9 in Ottawa at a workshop held to talk about climate change and health. The three-day workshop is bringing northern community researchers together to present the results of their work. “Maintaining our Arctic environment is much more than just an environment concern, it is our right to thrive on our homeland,” said Watt-Cloutier, who is currently teaching contemporary Arctic and Inuit issues at Bowdoin College in Maine.
