“We Were So Far Away: The Inuit Experience of Residential Schools,” opened March 25 at Iqaluit’s Nunatta Sunakkutaangit Museum. The exhibition features the stories and photos of eight Inuit former residential school students, including Carolyn Niviaxie, Salamiva Weetaltuk, Marius Tungilik, and Peter Irniq.
