Photo: When the light is blue, the air is clean

Mary Simon, the president of Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami, displays one of the blue light bulbs that ITK plans to distribute as part of its “Blue Light Campaign.” A blue light bulb installed in a family porch will indicate that either there are no smokers in the household, that the household’s smokers always smoke outdoors, or that they have begun smoking outdoors to reduce the impact of second-hand smoke on family members.
