Chances are anyone out on Iqaluit’s roads Tuesday morning couldn’t see very far, thanks to a thick fog blanketing the city.

According to a live map from the website firesmoke.ca, the fog mixed with some smoke from wildfires in central Canada has been passing over Baffin Island.

Environment Canada listed a “moderate risk” air quality index for Iqaluit.

Nunatsiaq News went for a drive around Iqaluit Tuesday morning to observe some of the visibility, or lack thereof.
