A four-hour planned power outage in Sanikiluaq is scheduled for this weekend, Qulliq Energy Corp. has announced.
Saturday’s outage will run from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and will affect the entire community, the utility said in a news release Thursday.
The outage is needed for workers’ safety as they perform maintenance and upgrades to the system.
In case of bad weather, the planned power outage will be postponed to Sunday. Sanikiluaq residents can monitor Qulliq’s Facebook or Twitter/X page for updates.
